Cynicism is a notion that always / often considers something ugly, both about himself and others. To know the cynics, we can read from the words that come out if there is a new idea. Here are examples of words that often come out of the cynics:
"I am not clever."
"I'm not good enough."
"He's better than me."
"What if...."
"You can not make it."
Etc.
Another characteristic of cynics is to criticize more often. They often criticize before doing the analysis. An example we often hear a sentence like this :
"All members of the House of Representatives 'thieves' all."
Is it true that all DPR members are 'thieves' all? We can only prove if we have done research on all members of Parliament. Do you think people who say so have investigated all members of the House?
If you do not want to be one of those cynics, there are some tips we can do :
1. Get used to analyze before drawing conclusions. Do not just follow your own perceptions, read books, ask others, read media, and so on.
2. Open yourself, that you can still learn. You can still learn new skills.
3. Even worse, cynics often want to pass on their cynicism to others. My friend was about to resign from a company, his friend said :
"You're too brave."
He says it because he only measures others based on his own size. In fact my friend is now working in a new workplace with better position and salary.
